We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Years! :)

We were very fortunate to be able to spend New Years Eve in London. We then travelled to Paris (Oh my! I would live there tomorrow!!) and then spent some time in Germany as well.

The studio officially re-opens for photo sessions from Monday, 10th January 2011.

Please be aware that the studio is open via appointment only.

We have quite a large number of emails and phone messages to reply to. Please be patient if you are waiting on a return email or call, we will get to you asap! :)

We have had a record amount of new enquiries these past few weeks and more than 400 new 'hits' on the website which we are really excited about!

This blog post is for our new clients who would like to find out a little bit more about Rebecca Maree Photography and the services we offer :)

So, who is Rebecca Maree? Well that would be me :) I'm the owner and the main photographer around here. I'm also a wife and a mum to 3 beautiful (noisy!) children.

Our photography studio captures mums to be, brand new babies, older babies, children and families. We also photograph weddings.

Obviously, if you have visited the website, you will see quite a lot of babies! Babies are our passion. Our most favourite subjects!

There is nothing more beautiful in this world than brand new life!

"I would like a newborn photo session, what's the best age?" ...

(Probably our most asked question)

It's simple. The earlier the better! Most of our newborns are photographed within their first 2 weeks of life - usually between 7-10 days. Babies are sleepy, easy to pose and totally gorgeous at this age. Our studio is quiet, calm, relaxed and most importantly, warm! We are usually baby's first 'outing' so we try to keep baby's routine as close to normal as possible. This includes working around feeding, changing and soothing :)

A typical newborn photo shoot will last for approx. 2 hours (sometimes even longer!)

We have a selection of props on hand in the studio including baskets, hats, wraps etc but my favourite props of all would have to be mums and dads.

Who could resist images like these ...

Of course, we also love to photograph older babies as well. Around 3 months is always a popular age for photos. These babes are well on their way to developing their own little personalites! :)

Our most favourite age to photograph is around 6-7 months. Babies at this age are usually sitting unaided, have loads of personality and haven't quite yet mastered the art of crawling away from the camera :)

Babies in this age group are starting to enjoy the 'great outdoors' so location shoots are also an option :)

Mother's Day is just around the corner ...

Why not give your mum (or yourself!) the timeless gift of photography?

Mother’s Day Mini Session Dates are as follows:

· Friday, 23rd April
· Sunday, 25th April
· Monday, 26th April

Cost = $50 mini session fee (includes one 8 x 10 inch print of your choice)

WHAT IS A MINI SESSION?

A mini session is held in the studio and lasts approx. 20 mins.

HOW MUCH DOES A MINI SESSION COST?

The mini session fee is priced at $50

(a saving of $75 from our regular session fee)

Bookings are absolutely essential.
Email or phone the studio to confirm your time & date.
Please note that there are only a limited amount of session times available and will book out quickly. Time slots are allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

WHO CAN BE PHOTOGRAPHED AT A MINI SESSION?

Mini sessions are available for the following:
Babies aged over 6 months, toddlers, children, teens and adults.
Family groups are most welcome however if you have a large family (more than 5 family members) you may have to book a longer photo session and therefore incur an additional fee.

WHY A MINI SESSION?

Mini sessions are ideal for previous clients who would like to update their family photos. They are also ideal for new clients who would like professional photos taken without paying for a full session. Your prints will be ready for collection in time for Mother’s Day and would make a wonderful gift for someone special.

WHAT NEXT?

Within 3 days following your photo session, you will be able to access an online gallery with the proof images (approx. 10 images) from your photo session. You may choose to order as many (or as little) prints as you like. Prints will be available for collection in time for Mother’s Day if your order is placed and paid for before TUESDAY 4th MAY, 2010. Prints are priced from $25 each. The CD of all images will be available also at a reduced price.
Please note that specialty items such as canvas prints and albums may take up to 3 weeks for delivery.

To secure your mini session, please email or call the studio on 4953 7679 to reserve your chosen date and time. The session fee can be paid in advance via bank deposit or credit card. Cash payments on the day of your photo session are also accepted.

Just a quick announcement to let everyone know that our last day for photo sessions will be Sunday, 20th December 2009.

We will re-open on Tuesday, 12th January 2010!

(We are still on standby for brand new babies however. We have quite a few maternity clients expecting their new bundle in early January!)
